Cold snaps don’t last forever. They usually break in a few days. The jet stream will wiggle back north, and you’ll forget this ever happened.
But while it’s here, embrace the weirdness. Go make a snowball. See how long it takes for your fingers to go numb. That’s science! You’re a citizen scientist now.
And if you stayed inside? You’re an observer. Watching the cold through a window is a legitimate sport. Gold medal for you.
Why This Topic Is Just Fun
Because weather is the one thing everyone experiences. It’s a shared joke. A universal complaint. “Cold enough for ya?” is the greatest conversation starter.
Talking about it makes you feel connected. You’re not alone in your frozen misery. The entire city is a shivering, grumbling choir.
So next time you ask, “Why is it so cold today?” remember: It’s a burping jet stream, a wandering polar vortex, and a dash of climate irony. Enjoy the chaos. And maybe buy a better scarf.
