Your system has a few stages: a sediment filter, a carbon filter, the RO membrane, and sometimes a post-filter. Mount them on a wall bracket—ideally at eye level so you can flex on your friends.
Connect the tubing. Color-coded tubes make this step easier. Blue for water in, red or black for waste water, and usually clear for the good stuff. If you cross them, your water might come out tasting like yesterday’s soup. Don’t ask me how I know.
Push the tubing all the way into the quick-connect fittings until you hear a click. That sound is your new best friend. It means you did it right. It also means you can stop holding your breath.
