If you’re desperate like me, play the 3DS version. It’s cheap. It holds up. Or try the fan-made “Ship of Harkinian” PC port—it runs at 60FPS and looks stunning. Yes, it’s unofficial. No, I’m not telling you to pirate it. But if you own a copy, you do you.
You could also replay Breath of the Wild or Tears of the Kingdom. They’re not remakes, but they share the same spirit. And hey, maybe by the time you finish all 120 shrines, Nintendo will have made an announcement. Hope is a dangerous thing.
Until then, we wait. We speculate. We build our own little theories under the Great Deku Tree. The remake will come out when it’s ready—or when Nintendo decides to cash in our nostalgia. My bet? It’ll be the year I turn 40. That’s 2028. Mark my words.
Or don’t. I’m still bitter about the lack of a release date. But at least we have the music. And the memories. And that stupid owl that never, ever shuts up. Hey, listen—it’s worth the wait, right? ...Right?
