Look at the bottle. See that date stamped on the cap? It’s not a death sentence.
That date is for quality, not safety. The FDA doesn’t even require it for bottled water.
Manufacturers slap a date on there because of plastic. They know the taste degrades after about two years. It’s a “best by” sticker, not a “bury it” notice.
The exception is sparkling water.
Fizzy water is a ticking time bomb. The carbon dioxide wants to escape.
Over months, the pressure drops. You open a “vintage” bottle of Perrier and get a sad pfft instead of a pop.
You end up drinking flat, salty sadness. It’s not bad for you. It’s just emotionally disappointing.
