Not every Winter Wonderland is Hyde Park. Thank goodness. Your local version might be called “Christmas Glow” or “Frost Fair.” They open on different planets of time.
How do you find out? Google Maps is your friend. Search “Christmas market near me” and see if a little pin appears. Then, click it. It usually says “Opens November 25th” or something equally specific.
Winter Wonderland opening date, times and how much is it to enter
Another trick: Facebook events. Local versions love posting events months in advance to build hype. Hit “Going” now, and you’ll be among the first to know when the actual date drops. You are a detective. Sherlock Holmes with a Santa hat.
The Countdown Ritual
Once you have a date—any date—you need a ritual. Buy a cheap advent calendar that starts counting down to that specific day. Eat a chocolate every evening. Yes, it works.
Or, put a post-it note on your fridge: “Winter Wonderland opens in [X] days. Start practicing your holding-multiple-drinks-and-taking-a-selfie move.”
This is not silly. This is preparation. Olympic-level joyous preparation.
