Wait, we covered 2016-17. But you might be thinking about the 2026-21 title. Technically, that was a Champions League win, not the Premier League. The last Premier League title for Chelsea was actually 2016-17. Since then, Manchester City and Liverpool have had a fierce rivalry, like two siblings fighting over the last slice of pizza. That’s why it feels like ages ago for fans.
Why Should You Care?
Here’s the thing. You might not care about football, or you might support a rival team. That’s fine. But Chelsea’s title wins are a story about timing. You know that feeling when you finally get a raise after years of waiting? Or when your favorite TV show has a perfect final season? That’s Chelsea’s 2005 win. It’s about patience rewarded. The 2010 win? Pure, joyful chaos.
And the 2016-17 win? It’s the reminder that you can change your whole life by making one smart decision at the right moment (like that 3-4-3 formation). These aren’t just dates on a calendar; they’re snapshots of determination, swagger, and pure, unadulterated joy. So next time your Chelsea friend brings up the Drogba header, just smile. You’ve got the whole story now.
