For today’s game, the Detroit Lions kick off at 1:00 PM Eastern Time. That’s the standard Sunday slot, assuming they aren’t flexed to a prime-time spot. (And trust me, if they were, you’d know—your phone would be buzzing with alerts.)
If you live in a different zone, just subtract hours. For example, Central Time is noon, Mountain is 11 AM, and Pacific is 10 AM. Don’t be the person who shows up at 4 PM feeling smug, only to realize the game ended two hours ago.
Wait—Is It Really 1:00 PM? The Fine Print.
Here’s the ironic part: the NFL loves messing with us. Sometimes the Lions get a "late afternoon" slot (4:25 PM ET) or a "Sunday Night Football" spot. Today, though, it’s the classic early window. Why? Because the league thinks the Lions are just good enough to be interesting, but not good enough to steal the prime-time thunder.
You can double-check by looking at the team’s official website or the NFL’s schedule page. But honestly, who has time for that when you’re already wearing your lucky hoodie? Just trust me—and maybe set an alarm for 12:45 PM.
