If the Twins are playing a day game, that changes the whole vibe. It means you can have the game on in the background while you fold laundry or pretend to work from home. It’s the perfect excuse to make a second pot of coffee and call it “sports hydration.”
But if it’s a night game, you’re looking at a different kind of treat. That’s the game where you settle in with a bowl of popcorn, and suddenly it’s 10 PM and you’ve learned the batting averages of every rookie. It’s a little ritual that makes a Tuesday feel like a Saturday.
I remember last season, I missed the first three innings of a crucial game because I assumed it started at 7:00. It actually started at 6:40. My dog looked at me like I had failed us both. Don’t be that person—check the time before you get comfy.
So, where do you actually look?
Your favorite search engine is your best friend. Just type “Twins game time today” and it usually pops right up. But be careful—make sure it says “local time.” If the Twins are playing in Seattle, a 7:00 PM start there means a 9:00 PM start for you in Minneapolis. That’s a lesson I learned the hard way, while eating cold pizza at midnight.
Another trick? The MLB app or the team’s official website. They never lie. They also tell you what channel it’s on—like Bally Sports or Fox. That saves you from flipping through 200 channels and landing on a documentary about beekeeping, which, while interesting, is not the same as watching Byron Buxton chase a fly ball.
And don’t forget your local sports radio station. The morning show guys always say “first pitch at 1:10” like it’s the most important information of the day. It kind of is.
