Leona hasn’t ruled out a return to the stage, but it’ll be on her terms. She turned down a spot on Strictly Come Dancing and a Vegas residency offer last year. Instead, she’s developing a one-woman show that blends music, spoken word, and—you guessed it—sound healing. Think Cirque du Soleil meets a wellness retreat.
She also made a surprise appearance on Jools Holland last autumn, performing a stripped-down version of “Bleeding Love” on a vintage piano. The performance went viral for its rawness. Fans called it “hauntingly beautiful,” and it reminded everyone that her vocal range is still a force of nature.
Rumor has it she’s also voicing a character in an upcoming animated film about a mermaid who teaches marine conservation. Casting directors, take note: she has the exact energy for that role.
