First up, we have Ben Harmon in Murder House. He’s the dad, the husband, the guy who cheated and then moved his family into a house that actively hates them. Sound familiar? We all know that one friend who makes a terrible decision and then spends the next year trying to explain it away.
Ben is the human equivalent of a leaky faucet. He drips with anxiety, regrets, and a desperate need to fix things he clearly broke. You want to shake him, but you also kind of want to give him a cup of coffee and a map out of the neighborhood.
His arc is basically the longest, most terrifying therapy session ever. And like that therapy session, it ends with him being stabbed by the maid. Classic.
The Rancher With a Really Bad Day (Roanoke)
Then he shows up in Roanoke as Dylan, a milkmaid with a seriously tough gig. Wait, no—he’s a colonist. He’s the guy who brings a knife to a non-existent gunfight and gets killed by a giant pig-man. It’s like when you go to a potluck and someone brings plain celery sticks. Why are you even here?
His character is barely there, but he makes an impression. He’s the human equivalent of a forgotten Tupperware container you find in the back of the fridge. You’re not sure what it was, but you know it’s trouble.
