Is tk2dl safe to use?
There is no definitive answer. The tool itself is not inherently dangerous, but the ads and pop-ups on the site can lead to malicious sites. Use an ad blocker and avoid clicking on anything other than the download button.
Does tk2dl work on private TikTok accounts?
No. tk2dl can only access videos that are publicly available on TikTok. If a video is set to private, the tool cannot retrieve it.
Can I use tk2dl on my phone?
Yes. The web-based interface works on mobile browsers. There is no official app, so be wary of any app claiming to be tk2dl.
Will TikTok ban me for using tk2dl?
TikTok has not historically banned users for using third-party downloaders, but it is against their terms of service. The risk is low but not zero.
Why is tk2dl not working today?
The tool relies on TikTok’s backend. If TikTok makes changes, tk2dl may stop working temporarily. Check back later or try an alternative.
