The timeline kicks off with Saul, the first king of Israel, who's like the young, inexperienced leader trying to find his footing. He's followed by David, the famous king who defeated Goliath and established Jerusalem as the capital - imagine a hero from your favorite legend, but in real life. Prophets like Samuel guided these early kings, offering wisdom and correction when needed.
As the kingdom grows, so does the list of kings and prophets. It's like trying to keep track of your friends' relationships on social media - who's dating who, who's friends with who, and who's having a public feud. Prophets like Elijah and Elisha popped up during this time, performing amazing miracles and speaking truth to power.
