The restaurant used to be the chapel’s main hall. The altar stood exactly where the bar is now. So, you’re basically sipping a glass of wine where someone once got married. Or baptized. Or both.
They kept the original wooden beams and stone walls. It gives the place a cozy, ancient vibe. It’s like having dinner in a history book that also serves excellent cocktails.
The breakfast is a masterpiece.
There’s a full English, of course. But they do it with a twist: black pudding that’s house-made, eggs from chickens you could almost wave at, and sourdough toast that’s crispy enough to slice your tongue. In a good way.

You can also get smoked haddock with a poached egg. It’s so good, you’ll forget you’re still in your pyjamas.
