The main character, Seong Gi-hun, played by Lee Jung-jae, is a down-on-his-luck guy who's deeply in debt and struggling to make ends meet. He's like the everyman, except instead of just paying his bills, he's forced to play a series of kill-or-be-killed games to win a huge cash prize. And honestly, who can't relate to that on some level?
Then there's Cho Sang-wo, played by Park Hae-soo, who's basically the anti-hero of the show. He's a wealthy businessman who's also playing the game, but for very different reasons than Seong Gi-hun. Let's just say he's not exactly the nicest guy, but he's definitely interesting to watch.
The show also features a talented ensemble cast, including Jung Ho-yeon, Oh Young-soo, and Wi Ha-joon, among others. They all bring their own unique energy to the show, and it's amazing to see how they all interact with each other in the game. It's like a big ol' Korean drama party, but with more violence and less drama (just kidding, there's still plenty of drama)!
