Everything. Seriously. One friend of mine stores his entire vintage bike collection in Tameside. (Yes, he’s that guy.) Another uses a unit in Manchester to stockpile stock for her online shop—she calls it her “business backstage.” And Dave? He ended up renting a 10-foot locker in Denton for his mum’s furniture, plus his own growing pile of “projects.”
You can store furniture, sports gear, business archives, even your old university textbooks that you swear you’ll re-read. Nobody’s judging. The key is out of sight, out of mind—but safely within reach.
A word about security (and spiders)
Let’s address the elephant in the room: is your stuff safe? Most self storage sites in Manchester and Denton have 24-hour CCTV, individual alarms, and pin-code access. So your old records are safer than your car parked on the street. As for spiders? Well, no promises. But a quick vacuum before you store anything works wonders. (Pro tip: toss in a few mothballs for good measure.)
