Honestly, his legacy is simple: everything can be fixed—except, apparently, your lungs after 40 years of inhaling wood shavings. But more importantly, he taught us that old things have stories, and those stories deserve a little polish and a lot of love.
So pour out some shellac for our fallen comrade. If you have a broken chair in your attic, go hug it and whisper, “This one’s for you, Chris.” And next time you’re on the Repair Shop’s YouTube channel, cry openly while watching him fix a grandfather clock. It’s what he would have wanted—preferably while listening to The Hamsters’ greatest hits.
RIP, you magnificent wood-dust band geek. You fixed the unfixable, and you rocked while doing it.
