Once you’ve conquered the shops, you can wander over to the Up at The O2 experience. That’s the one where you can walk across the roof of the dome in a giant bubble suit. It’s weird, it’s wonderful, and it gives you a view of the entire city. It also makes for excellent Instagram content.
Or, if heights aren’t your thing, there’s a bowling alley, a cinema, and a crazy golf course called Puttshack. It’s techy, it’s glowy, and it’s the perfect way to show off your terrible putting skills while sipping a cocktail. No judgment here.
The whole place is designed to keep you entertained for a whole day. You can literally arrive at 10am, shop, eat, climb, bowl, watch a movie, and stumble home at 10pm. That’s called a maximum efficiency day in my book.
Getting There is Laughably Easy
You don’t need a car. The Jubilee line drops you off inside the dome. You step off the train and BAM—you’re in retail heaven. It’s almost too convenient. There’s also the cable car from the Royal Docks, which is a total novelty and worth doing at least once.

Parking is a breeze too, if you’re driving. The car park is massive, but it costs a few quid. Honestly, the money you save on a discounted coat will more than cover the parking fee. It’s basic math. Emotional math, but still.
And if you’re feeling fancy, take the Uber Boat along the Thames. Arriving by boat makes you feel like a Victorian explorer, except your cargo is a stack of Nike shoeboxes instead of tea spices.
