The display is a 5.5-inch Retina HD panel (diagonally). That’s the whole reason you buy the Plus, right? It’s the big canvas for your YouTube marathons and meme scrolling.
But here’s the irony: the phone’s body is much bigger than the screen. The bezels, man. They’re generous. You could park a small car on those top and bottom bezels. Side-by-side with a modern iPhone 15 Pro Max? The 7 Plus looks like it’s wearing a fat turtleneck.

Still, for its time, that 5.5-inch screen was a luxury. You felt important watching Netflix on it. Like a king in a first-class seat. If the king’s arm got tired.
The Pocket Geometry Problem
When you buy a Plus model, you sign a contract with your pants. The phone is 3.07 inches wide. That’s almost the width of a standard pair of men’s jeans’ watch pocket. It won’t fit there.
It will fit in the main pocket, but do yourself a favor: never put it in your back pocket and sit down. I did that once. The phone survived. My sciatic nerve didn’t. For a week I walked with a mysterious limp.
Women’s pockets? Forget it. That’s a whole different tragedy. You’d need cargo pants built for a ’90s rave to carry this thing.
