Every session starts in a “briefing room” that looks like a spaceship control centre. Big screens show live feeds of the fake emergencies. Instructors watch from behind one-way glass, taking notes and pressing buttons to make a dummy’s heart stop suddenly.
Trainees run in with giant red bags full of gear. They have to talk to the victims, perform CPR, or stop a fake bleed—all while a clock ticks loudly. If they mess up, the instructor’s voice booms over a speaker: “Time of death: 3:42 p.m.” Brutal, but effective.
After each mock emergency, there’s a “debrief” where everyone snacks on biscuits and talks about what went wrong. The best part? The biscuits are real. Everything else is pretend. It’s like a play, but with life-or-death stakes and fewer costume changes.

Brentside is where your future guardian angel learns the ropes. Every paramedic you meet on the street has practiced here. They’ve tripped over fake puddles, argued with fake drunks, and cried over fake deaths—so they don’t crack when it’s actually real.
Also, the place is a secret tourist trap for nerds. Firefighters, police, and even the military use it to run drills. You can’t visit (sorry), but you can peek at the outside. Look for a boring grey building with blacked-out windows. That’s the Brentside magic factory.

Fun fact: the building used to be a furniture warehouse. Now it’s filled with fake blood and panic. Talk about a career change. The space has been totally reborn, like a butterfly, but with more sirens and less beauty sleep.
