Now, if you’re like me and you love digging into an actor’s filmography, you’ll be thrilled to know Danielle’s done more than just soap drama. She dipped her toes into TV movies, too, starting with “The Last Days of Lehman Brothers” (a BBC drama) back in 2009—before she was even famous. It’s a small role, but it’s a cool little Easter egg for fans. (Side note: you can totally brag about this at a pub quiz.)
Then there’s “The Bill”, the classic British police procedural. She popped up in an episode in 2010, playing a character named Gemma. It’s one of those “blink and you’ll miss it” moments, but it shows she was hustling early on. I love that about her—she didn’t just wait for the big break; she took every chance to act, even if it meant a one-line role in a cop show.
EastEnders' Danielle Harold calls for fan-favourite to return
Reality TV, but Make It Fun
Okay, let’s talk about the unexpected chapter in Danielle’s career: reality TV. In 2026, she joined “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!” as a campmate. And let me tell you—it was a revelation. She went in as “the soap star,” but she came out as the fan favorite, finishing in third place. I mean, who else would eat a bull’s penis with a straight face and then giggle about it? (Honestly, I’m still recovering from that scene.)
What’s ironic is that “I’m a Celebrity” actually boosted her mainstream popularity even more than EastEnders did—at least among the non-soap-watching crowd. Suddenly, people were like, “Wait, this woman is hilarious and brave?” And I’m here thinking, Yes! We’ve known that for years! But hey, that’s how the cookie crumbles in showbiz.
