But, in all seriousness, Monroe was a key figure in the Monroe Doctrine, which stated that the US would not tolerate further European colonization in the Americas - pretty bold move, if you ask me!

The reverse side (that's the back, folks!) features the Statue of Liberty, which is a pretty iconic symbol of American freedom.
