Don’t like fractions? Fine. Use the decimal highway. Take the fraction part (⅕) and divide the top by the bottom. 1 ÷ 5 = 0.2. Now add the whole number. 2 + 0.2 = 2.2. That’s your decimal. Now multiply by 100. 2.2 x 100 = 220%. Same result, fewer steps. You just outsmarted the system.
This trick works for any mixed number. 4 ¾? ¾ = 0.75. Add the 4 to get 4.75. Multiply by 100. 475%. You’re now a percent ninja. Nobody can stop you.
