Then refill with fresh, chlorine-free water from your hose. This dilutes the remaining chlorine and turns a chore into a celebration. Pro tip: the louder the cannonball, the faster the chemistry works.
A Few No-Brainer Tricks
If you use chlorine tablets, remove them from the skimmer or floater immediately. They keep dissolving and adding more chlorine, like a slow-motion chemical waterfall.
Also, run your pump on the “circulate” setting (not filter) for a few hours to mix in fresh water faster. But remember: never add chemicals like “chlorine neutralizer” unless you’re absolutely sure—they can mess with pH and make the water cloudy.
