So, how many ounces? The real answer is enough to make your pee pale. For most of us, that’s 64 to 100 ounces. Start with 20 ounces in the morning (that’s one big water bottle), sip through lunch, and stop two hours before bed unless you like waking up at 3 a.m. to flood the bathroom.
And for the love of all that is holy, don’t obsess. If you eat fruits, veggies, and soups, you’re probably already hydrated. Your ancestors didn’t carry Nalgene flasks. They drank from streams and survived. You eat pizza and binge Netflix. You’ll be okay.
Now go refill your cup. And while you’re at it, check your pee. It’s not weird. It’s science. You’re welcome.
