Take a deep breath. You haven’t broken it. Nine times out of ten, the issue is the power cord. Is it plugged in? Check both ends—the wall and the blender base. Sometimes the cord gets knocked loose when you were angrily shoving carrots into the pitcher.
If the cord is fine, try another outlet. Your blender might be trying to tell you that your kitchen outlet is possessed. Also, check if the base is wet. Ninjas are waterproof-ish, but if you spilled water on the base, it might just wink at you and refuse to play.
The “Last Resort” Move
Still nothing? Okay, unplug it for ten seconds. Plug it back in. This is blender yoga. Sometimes they just need a little reset. Then try pressing the power button again while muttering a small apology. Works 60% of the time, every time.
If that fails, look at the bottom of the base. There’s a little rubber foot that sometimes gets stuck. Give it a gentle tap. I’m not saying it’s the blender’s tickle spot, but… I’m not not saying that.
