Peel and slice quince into thin rounds. Dip them in a simple batter of flour, egg, and a pinch of salt. Fry in hot oil until golden.

Don’t Throw Away the Peels
Here’s a weird tip. Save all those peels and cores. Toss them into a pot of water with a cinnamon stick. Simmer for 30 minutes.
Strain out the solids. You now have a pink, fragrant liquid. Use it to poach pears, make jelly, or add to cocktails. Bonus points for zero waste.
