Walk into any pub or family home on December 25th, and you’ll witness a silent schism. On one side, the purists insist that turkey needs its own accompaniments—stuffing, cranberry sauce, and pigs in blankets—and that a Yorkshire pudding is simply out of place. On the other side, the populists argue that any roast dinner without a Yorkshire is a tragedy, no matter the main protein.
Personally, we’re siding with the populists. A Yorkshire pudding doesn’t care if it’s paired with beef or bird. It’s a neutral, comforting canvas that loves gravy, and Christmas is all about abundance. Why limit yourself?
