Oh, you’re a night owl? Bold move. Christmas night bus service is rarer than a unicorn eating fruitcake. Most agencies shut down by 8 PM, because the drivers want to go home to their own families. If you’re out caroling until midnight, you might need to hoof it home—or call that ride-share and apologize for the “merry” fare.
But hey, walking in the cold builds character. And you can sing “Walking in a Winter Wonderland” with zero irony. Own it.
The One Universal Truth
Here’s the thing: the bus probably won’t run on a perfect schedule. But that’s okay. Christmas is about flexibility, patience, and maybe having a funny story to tell. “Remember the year I waited 47 minutes for a bus that smelled like gingerbread and despair?” That’s a memory, friend.
And if you do miss the bus entirely? Take a deep breath. Call a friend for a ride. Offer them gas money and a slice of pie. Human kindness is the real holiday transportation.
