We all worry about hidden costs, right? It’s like when you think you’ve paid for everything, and then a mystery charge appears. With Budget, you can book online and see the full price upfront, including the important bits like airport surcharges and basic insurance.
You can even save a bit of cash by paying ahead of time. Use your savvy traveller brain—it’s like buying a concert ticket early instead of waiting and paying double. Your wallet will thank you.
And if you’re worried about driving on the “wrong” side of the road, don’t be. Budget cars come with sat-nav options or you can just use your phone. Within ten minutes, you’ll be cruising like a local, wondering why you ever stressed.
A little story to make you smile
Last summer, my mate Sarah landed at Belfast International. She’d booked a tiny car, but Budget had run out of that model. They gave her a massive SUV instead, at the same price. She drove off grinning like she’d won the lottery, texting me: “I feel like a queen in this tank!”
That’s the thing about Budget. They’re not stuffy. If they can give you a little upgrade, they usually will. It’s like getting a free biscotti with your latte—unexpected and delightful.

Another friend, Dave, once left his phone in the hire car after returning it. Budget’s team found it, charged it up, and kept it safe until he could come back. That’s real care. Not just a transaction.
