Don’t crowd your freezer. If you stack fifteen bags of rice on top of each other, they might freeze into a single, monolithic block. Space them out for the first hour, then stack like Tetris champions.
Also, avoid using glass containers straight from the fridge to the freezer if they aren’t marked “freezer-safe.” A jagged shard of glass in your rice is not a fun surprise. Trust me on this one.
And please, don’t freeze rice that has been sitting at room temperature for more than two hours. Bacteria are sneaky little party crashers, and you don’t want them at your dinner table. Cook it, cool it, freeze it—stat.
