The team at Birchwood Lodge isn’t just a bunch of animal lovers with a spare room. They’re trained professionals who understand animal behavior and stress signals. One of the owners has a background in veterinary nursing, which means your pet is in medically aware hands.
They also keep meticulous records. Your dog’s feeding schedule, medication times, and even their preferred squeaky toy are noted. It’s the kind of attention to detail that makes you feel like you’re leaving your pet with a slightly obsessive, but very caring, relative.

Remember the Beverly Hills Chihuahua movies? Replace the palm trees with ancient oaks, add a pack of well-behaved golden retrievers, and you’ve got the daily walk scene here. Birchwood offers group play in secure paddocks, supervised by staff who know how to read canine body language. Your dog will come home with new best friends and zero drama.
