Here’s a pro tip: Look at the series, not just the single game. A three-game series means three chances to watch Trea Turner dash around the bases or Kyle Schwarber send a ball to Neptune. One bad game? No big deal. There’s always tomorrow.
If you’re reading this on a Monday, chances are the Phils are either starting a series on Tuesday or wrapping one up. Baseball is a beautiful, relentless beast. It never stays quiet for long.
And forget the word “bye.” That’s for other sports. Baseball has off-days, which are basically mandatory breathing breaks for your heart before the next sprint.
The Magic of the 7:05 PM Start Time
You know why 7:05 PM feels so special? Because that’s when the lights come on, the anthem plays, and suddenly your Tuesday night is electric. It’s the perfect excuse to abandon all adult responsibilities for three hours.
How to watch, stream the Phillies-Reds game
And don’t get me started on the afternoon games. A 1:35 PM start means you get to watch baseball while the sun is still out. That’s freedom, my friend. Plan your lunch break accordingly.
But seriously, look at your phone’s calendar. Add the next game. Color it red. Give it a star. Make it official.
