Fast forward to the Roaring Twenties, and America was like the life of the party. Everyone was dancing the Charleston, drinking bootlegged cocktails, and generally having a blast. But, of course, all good things must come to an end, and the Great Depression was like the ultimate buzzkill.
The Great Depression was a real downer, with unemployment skyrocketing and people waiting in bread lines just to get a meal. But, you know what they say, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade, and that's exactly what Americans did. They came together, supported each other, and performed in all sorts of creative ways to make ends meet.
