So, you know what's really cool about Patriots Day? The fact that it's based on a true story. The movie's director, Peter Berg, actually worked closely with the real-life survivors of the bombing to make sure the movie was as accurate as possible. And, let me tell you, it shows.
The film's cast and crew also did a ton of research to prepare for their roles, including Wahlberg, who spent hours talking to the real-life Sergeant Tommy Saunders. He even got to ride along with the Boston PD, which is just so cool. I mean, who wouldn't want to go on a police ride-along?
