Tony Robbins, the self-help giant? Yep, born February 29, 1960. He’s literally a motivational martian because he only ages quadrennially. When someone asks his age, he probably says, “I’m 16—in Leap Years.” And somehow, it still sounds inspiring.
Then there’s Pedro Rodríguez, the Formula One racing legend from Mexico. Born in 1940, he was winning races while most people his age were celebrating their sixth birthday. Talk about a fast track.

The Weird and the Wonderful
John Byrom, born in 1692, was an English poet who invented a shorthand system. Yes, a Leap Day baby basically made writing faster—fitting for someone racing against a calendar. His famous line? “Let us be merry, and we will be wise.” Solid advice from a guy who probably never knew what year to write on his tax forms.
And let’s not forget Ja Rule, the rapper, born in 1976. He’s had more hits than a piñata at a toddler’s party. But every Leap Day, he gets to party like it’s his true age: twelve.
